Quilters at work

Just to keep you posted on the things I do and that keep me away from my blogs..
As I’ve mentioned before, my friend Fazou is a great quilter and has been part of a quilters’ association for some years now. I started taking photos at the meetings and last Thursday, I filmed a few clips with my darling Flip Video. ;) stitched them together with iMovie and here’s the result.

Sonata No. 10 In C Major, K. 330 - III. Allegretto by W. A. Mozart, performed by Vadim Chaimovich

For better viewing, let the clip completely load first, and then watch it.
And no worry, flickr doesn’t allow more than 90 seconds’ videos, which I find perfect.
Not time to get bored ;)

I took this photo while visiting Abney Park Cemetery back in March 2008. Abney Park Cemetery is one of London’s Magnificent Seven. I must admit that it was not my favourite cemetery, but still, it was quite interesting.

Thanks to Leo Reynolds, for the visit of that cemetery and for suggesting this photo for Wednesday Window.

I am definitely not in a blogging mood these days!

Anyone for ElderExercise?

Filed under: Photography — Claude @ 8:28 pm

Naomi from A Little Red Hen and myself have joined our efforts in a cooperative blog, ElderExercise. Each of us has different aims and practises exercise in quite a different way, but we try to support one another.
We both feel that we are ready to welcome new members, and after a call on Naomi’s blog, we have been joined by Kay from Kay’s Thinking Cap
Naomi suggested me to post this feeble attempt to join my exercise efforts to my newly acquired taste for video clips ;)
So here goes

I took this clip on my first time out with my Flip Video camera

If you are 55 or over, are willing to exercise some and to post at a cooperative blog at least once a week and to support co-bloggers through positive and encouraging comments, you can write us at elderexerciseATgmailDOTcom

I’m afraid you’re probably not going to like this photo, but I like it so here goes.
I took this on the Right Bank of the river Seine, looking at the left bank.

bouquiniste stall cover
Needs a bit of painting, doesn’t it?

Strangely enough, I don’t have a photo of a bouquiniste stall, open, and selling old books, prints or postcards, but other people on flickr do, like Cyrille Breton, or bocàngel

Time flies!

It can’t be the first time I entitle a post ‘Time flies’. Well, the older I get, the more I feel it. Is it because I am slower, or because I like taking up new things with new toys?
Is it the (almost) daily exercise? It might be a bit of all these things put together.
I just realised that I still have photographs that I took last summer in Manchester, and that I haven’t processed, sorted out or uploaded yet.
And there’s this new toy I got that takes up a lot of my time.

The star

My brand new Flip Ultra Video

and the time it takes to process the video clips I take with it ;)
So of course, I try to combine everything together,

Setup for Word Time - week 6

All set to do Word Time 6 and bike at the same time

Or I walk and use my Flip while walking.

Because of flickr video feature, I have gone through the photos I have accumulated through the years and fished out a few clips that I took with my video camera and am trying to tame iMovie to edit them and upload them.
Like this one I took last September with my Lumix FZ8, when I went to Chaumont sur Loire with my friend Sarah.

In a hammock with Sarah*

I have no idea where my second foot had disappeared, but I swear it was there.
So between one thing and another, I just don’t have much time for blogging, although I am also posting once a week at ElderExercise.
I do try to read blogs as much as I can, but that’s still not much! Sorry about this. :(
