I enjoyed taking the photo but you wouldn’t make me go on either of these. Too scary!
If you want some of the atmosphere, I also took a video.
Flying above the Tuileries gardens
I took this photo last August while crossing Jardin des Tuileries, the garden that goes from Place de la Concorde to the Louvre.
On the left, rue de Rivoli and at the back Le Louvre. This is a walk a particularly enjoy, as it’s a good way of going from the Left Bank of the Seine to the Right Bank, or vice-versa.

I love this sunny and happy picture!
@ jcfrog. Thanks. It’s nice posting about blue skies when the weather turns rainy and autumn-like…
I’d love to ride that!! We didn’t see it when we were there.
@ kenju, it’s not there all year long. The Ferris wheel is there every year at Christmas time but not situated at the same place. And the other attractions are there occasionally.
A friend of mine persuaded me to go on the Ferris wheel: it stopped part of the way round, and the seat-pod creaked on its mountings as it swung in the stiffening breeze…….
Ugh.
@ Autolycus, just the sort of reason why I wouldn’t go on one of these things!
I’m with you Claude – I have a “thing” about hights and stay away from things like that. I wouldn’t even go on a horse but put me on a plane and I’m just fine.
The Ferris wheel for some reason is scarier than the other — I got stuck on one once also and have not forgotten how eerie it felt.
